Girls Wine Weekend - Part 3 - Pearls New Orleans Kitchen

Ever wonder what happened to Ms. Cleo and her psychic hot line?  Well she works here now.

Part 3 of the girls weekend was dinner at Pearl's New Orleans Kitchen in Elk Rapids.  Everyone we talked to raved about this place.  The cornbread had jalapenos in it which was delicious!  And we started out with with appetizers of gator bites and fried green tomatoes.  We didn't really care for the gator bites because they had tough grizzle in them.  The fried green tomatoes were good.

The entree I got was the blackened mahi mahi.  It was seemed over salted?  My friends got the brisket which they said was good.  Overall I had mixed feelings on the place.  I would say I am neutral overall on the restaurant.  I liked the cornbread and fried green tomatoes and it was a different concept.  I thought some other food was just o.k. and quite heavy especially in calories.
